Kona Summer Surge Activities and Programs
Here at the Summer Surge, we work hard and play hard too! A variety of activities and enriching programs are available for you and your family to enjoy while serving the Surge here at the University of the Nations, Kona. Updated information and schedules will be posted on the private Surge Accepted Participants Facebook group and also available as a printed newsletter at the Go Center Surge Reception Desk throughout the summer. Sign-ups for all Activities will be available at the Reception Desk.
A little reminder of our weekly schedule:
Monday through Friday from 7am – 5pm
Saturday – Sunday: Off
Family Adventure Days:
Friday: Times depend on activity for the day. Most will start around 8 am, and will finish in the afternoon. This is our main family activities day.
Saturday: Times depend on activities available for the day. Saturdays will be your opportunity to go to the beach, shop, get some surfing or paddle boarding lessons – in smaller groups. These activities will be smaller groups in general and will be flexible from week to week.

Personal & Spiritual Enrichment:
Summer Surge is also offering opportunities for our participants to grow and learn in several types of courses. Numerous teachings and seminars will be available for the volunteers this summer, such as marriage seminar, addictive behavior counseling courses, community development, clean water projects, first hand stories from the mission field, personal testimonies, Bible overview, inductive Bible study, worldview/culture, photography and much more.
